Jeb Dunnuck: Both 2014s showed well. The 2014 Cote Rotie Cote Brune
sees a touch more new oak than the classic cuvee and is aged in
20-30% new barrels. It's always a more structured, tannic wine and
requires more bottle age. Bacon fat, pepper, smoked meats and an
undeniable floral character all emerge from this beautiful,
concentrated and age-worthy 2014 that's up with the creme de la
creme of the vintage.
