Allen Meadows: This is also overtly spicy with its ripe and fresharray of earth-inflected violet, plum and red berry fruit aromasthat are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. Once again there isfine richness and volume to the bigger-bodied and muscular flavorsthat deliver excellent persistence on the dusty finish that ismildly austere and on the more rustic side than usual. The tanninsalso stick out somewhat at present though given this wine'sconsistent track record, I suspect that it will harmonize over themid-term.
