Robert Parker: A candidate for the wine of the vintage, the 2007Lafite Rothschild (84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and 1% PetitVerdot) reveals classic Lafite aromas of graphite, unsmoked cigartobacco, black currants, cherries, and a hint of truffles. Thecomplex aromatics are followed by a round, medium to full-bodiedwine with silky tannins, an overall subtle smoky component, and arich, round, generous, plump finish. Already evolved and delicious,it should continue to drink well for two decades.
