Neal Martin: The 2013 Haut Bages Liberal seemed rather anonymousand had a, dare I say, "dour" nose that requires fruit to come fromsomewhere. The palate is medium-bodied with firm and slightly drytannin. This Pauillac is missing some weight in the middle butrecovers towards its conservative finish. The finish is better thanthe entry here, so there is some hope it may improve in bottle.
